lactation consultant, BS, IBCLC
I am a mother of two and a proud U.S. Air Force veteran and military spouse. I’m also a lactation consultant!
My breastfeeding background began 10 years ago with the birth and breastfeeding of my own children after which I began to get professionally involved in the lactation field. I completed my degree in Maternal and Child Health with a focus in lactation with a baby on my hip and a toddler at my feet.
As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) I believe in providing evidence-based and compassionate lactation care to the families in our community. I’m passionate about prioritizing individualized breastfeeding support; your goals are my goals. My specialty is in induced lactation, low supply and tongue tie support.
I have worked in emergency infant feeding settings in Greece and Puerto Rico, in community settings with the U.S. WIC program and privately in the homes of hundreds of new families. I enjoy speaking at conferences and writing about all things breastfeeding.
In my spare time you’ll find me hiking with my family in this beautiful country or cooking foods from around the world while sipping a hot cup of tea.
